FAMILY PETITION
FOR ALIEN FIANCÉ(E)

GREEN CARD
After the beneficiary receives approval of an immigrant petition (I-130/I-140), there are two ways to apply for a green card.
- When the beneficiary is abroad, the application must be through the U.S. Embassy at the chosen foreign country.
- If the beneficiary is already in the United States, he or she must apply for an adjustment of status process through USCIS.
REMOVAL CONDITIONS
GREEN CARD
The Conditional Green Card is given based on marriage to a U.S. citizen, and lasts two (2) years. To avoid losing your lawful status, before your conditional green card expires, you must apply to remove conditions on your residence. There is no option to renew it.
